Hospitality Design | The Hari Hotel London

Client: Thompson Hotels
Location: London, England
Completed February 2012

Tara Bernerd & Partners provided the full interior design for The Hari London (previously known as Belgraves). Transforming the former Sheraton hotel was no small undertaking and the team offered a full interior architecture and design package for all public areas, as well as 85 bedrooms and suites.

Bernerd and the team also worked hand in hand with EPR Architects, offering creative direction for the building’s exterior treatment.

Using a variety of rich and tactile finishes, including Arabescato marble, graystone and smoked glass, Bernerd and her team have a created a warm and stylish environment, giving guests the feeling of inhabiting an original home in the heart of Belgravia.

Reflecting Design UK supplied a Bizari Convex Mirror for the ground floor lobby seating area. As a large round object the mirror lends a feminine sensibility or atmosphere to the space. As a mirror, a convex mirror provides an engaging visual center – it is a mirror but it does not play like a flat mirror. Where as one is practical and reflects a sense of self, a convex mirror reflects a sense of place. It engages in with a relaxed spirit. Unfortunately I have only managed to find one image of this room.
